Our Goal
The purpose of Core is to be able to raid on a schedule that is acceptable for any kind of player; hardcore, or casual play. Players raid to have fun; and a quick, competent, efficient raid is the best way to achieve this ideal. We look to bring those who strive for this, together under one guild for the best experience possible, in a fun and professional environment.

Raid times start at
6:30PM and end at
10:00PMIf you are online, you are in the raid!
Competence- Stat and gearing priorities, correct talent distribution, DPS rotations/priorities, enchanting gear, gemming gear, etc.
- Able to accomplish simple tasks, such as avoiding environmental damage and hazards.
- Able to quickly adapt to changing situations. Things don't always go as planned in raids, and being able to predict a shift, or react to a spur of the moment change of plans is needed.
Self Sufficient- Flasks for progression content, or hard mode content
- Enough gold to repair your gear
- Understanding of current, and future encounters, including roles beyond your own
- Able to communicate with others ahead of time to fill dependent roles (who heals who, who is CCing what)
Considerate of Others, Stable, and Common Sense- Not constantly AFKing, or holding up the raid
- Internet connection, and computer, that does not hinder your performance
- Capable of taking criticism/help when given. Always be open to new possibilities, ideas, and suggestions.
- And of course, emotional stability, this ties in heavily with the previous.
- Positive, and friendly attitude.
Loot SystemSince the start of WoTLK raiding, we have moved to
EPGP which is a system, which in our eyes, is overall much more fair to the guild, but still rewarding to those with high attendance, and eliminates point hording. You are awarded EP (effort points) for raiding (and progressing), and GP (gear points), for recieving items (based on item level). The two values are calculated and a ranking is generated from the results. There is a minimum amount of EP required before you can start aquiring loot (rotting loot you are more than welcome to. Remember the following, min_ep = 5000,
trust me), which usually is met after about a week or so of raiding, depending on your attendance.
We leave it up to you to decide whether an item is a major or minor upgrade, but we also expect that you take others into consideration when making this choice. The raid leader will also have the ability to quickly view which item you will be replacing, and will question the situation if necessary.

BigWigs - Boss warning mods, majority of members use DBM, but BigWigs is acceptable.
Omen - Threat ranking on current target vs the rest of the raid, and more importantly, the main tank.
ApplicationPlease take this seriously! First impressions are everything. We put the questions in for a reason! If you can not take a simple application seriously, how can we take you seriously? It is incredibly easy to tell the difference between an application that was stomped out in 1-2 minutes, as opposed to one that took 8-10 minutes. Blunt, dry, short answers, use of internet short hand, are not going to get you anywhere. Give us some meaty information that we can't get from by looking up your Armory.
Your application will only be visible to YOU and the officers. We respect your privacy, guests and other members will not be able to view them. Check up on your application thread, to see if any additional questions are asked.
The questions consist of basic information, general knowledge multiple choice, and short answers. It was designed to be simple to understand, and easy to answer. Revisions are made on occasion for clarification reasons, additional questions, or the removal of questions. If you feel you can meet these expectations, and understand how things work, then feel free to take the next step, by filling out the application. When it asks for the year, use 2009.
